Mary Lou Boyle, Owner
Licensed Massage Therapist (MA62733), Esthetician
Mary Lou Boyle began her career as a salon professional right here in Oviedo, Florida when she built The Pony Tail Beauty Salon in the seventies. This was the first full-service salon in Oviedo and she owned and operated it for five years before selling it and entering into the world of media.
She returned to hands-on work as a stylist and colorist at an upscale salon in Seminole County. While there she was reintroduced to esthetics under the guidance of a European facialist and found that she was completely at home while involved in the process of pampering clients during the skin care treatment process. After several years as a practicing cosmetologist, she was again offered a position in radio/television and returned to work with our local PBS/NPR station. Nearly a decade later, in 2008, she retired from there as a Senior Account Executive.
Retirement was not to be; Mary Lou began studying esthetics again and decided to open a salon specializing in facials, manicures and pedicures. Her vision was of a skin care salon with enough space to accommodate all three modalities and to allow the client the comforts of a day spa, while retaining an intimate, relaxing atmosphere. She completed her training a Massage Therapist, graduating with all A’s in academics as well as in practical therapy and was licensed by the Florida State Board of Massage Therapy. Massage became an important part of the facility’s menu. The establishment is located at 870 Clark Street, Suite 1020, in Oviedo. It is comfortable and esthetically pleasing and offers a separate room with the privacy necessary for facials, a soothing and relaxing massage room and a warm and welcoming reception area. The specialized areas will encourage either a woman or a man guest to feel that she/he has complete privacy and is the total focus of the attention of Mary Lou and her gifted practitioners.
Mary Lou sits on the Advisory Board of Massage Therapy at Winter Park Tech, Avalon Campus, her alma mater. She is a professional member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association), as well as the ASCP (Associated Skin Care Professionals).
